The 26 Club presents
Our own cartoon, set in a pub called The Double Top. A man who scores 26 every single time, and never stops believing the next throw is the big one.
The cast
The main man
Delivery driver, garage practice room, total confidence. Trev scores 26 every single time and never stops believing the next throw is the big one. He never sulks, never blames anyone else, and is first to clap a good throw, even Tony's.
“I'm settling in nicely, thanks.”
Best mate and team captain
Trev's best mate since school and captain of The Double Top's team. Kev believes in Trev more than anyone reasonably should.
“First night on the team, Trev. No pressure.”
Landlady of The Double Top
Sandra runs the pub and keeps the scores on the chalkboard. She says in one word what everyone else takes ten to say.
“Twenty-six.”
The rival
Tony plays for The Crown. He hits 180 like it's nothing and makes sure the whole pub saw it. Smug, but never nasty.
“Bed and breakfast, is it? I'll leave a mint on your pillow.”
Trev's wife
Janice rolls her eyes at the new darts, the lucky shirt and the thuds from the garage at midnight. Secretly, she is his biggest fan.
“How much were they?”
Sandra's niece
Jade has never thrown a dart in her life. She turns out to be a natural. Keep an eye on her.
“Like this?”
